I love the abstract, delicate, profound, vague, voluptuously wordless sensation of living ectastically.

About me

I'm not going to write in the third person here because I know you're clever and you know it's me writing. You're probably attractive and funny too.

My journey has taken me from Los Angeles to San Francisco to Portland and to a number of incredible, magnificent, faraway lands in between. Hood River, Oregon, is the place I call home these days. I share a really lovely little homestead there with my husband, Gavin, and our cat, Rahu.

After earning a Bachelor's degree in video production from the University of San Francisco some time ago, I started working as a documentary filmmaker specializing in food, agriculture, and sustainability. I did that for 9+ years.

The wonderful food stuff happening on the other side of my lens and in my world eventually pulled me in completely. So, I am currently a graduate student at Boston University working towards a MLA in Gastronomy. I am passionate about food and how it connects us to our own identities as well as cultures far from our own experience.

I  am a fantastic packer and always ready to explore a new land. Además, hablo español. I've had the fantastic pleasure of visiting and falling in love with many beautiful places in the world. I'm half Lebanese and I think about Beirut constantly. I have a long-standing love affair with Argentina, which I also think about constantly.

Tomatoes are my favorite fruit. I've been dancing since I was 8. I'd do almost anything for a plate of fresh Peruvian ceviche. I have nostalgic feelings about Snoop Dogg. I'll order anything on a menu with goat cheese in it. I love the feeling of sea salt in my hair. I'm a dreamer and a lover and not afraid to say so.
